Report of Recent Club Speakers

Jan Riggenbach was the speaker this week.  She writes a column for the Omaha World Herald.  She presented a slide show about spring gardening for vegetables, flowers, shrubs, and bushes.

Jan tests many seeds and plants before they become readily available.  She has a variety of favorites in any category.  She has a website where she publishes gardening information: http://www.midwestgardening.com.  The website includes the favorites mentioned in her newspaper column, along with monthly gardening hints.  She has published three books, “Midwest Gardener’s Handbook”, "Ortho's All About Perennials", and "HGTV Landscape Makeovers" which are available to order through her website.
